Music PR Website Design: One-Page Squarespace Build for Purpose by AK
When your entire business runs on WhatsApp DMs, Instagram stories, and PDF pitch decks sent at 2am, you don't have a credibility problem — you have a scalability problem.
Purpose by AK was closing deals with Grammy-nominated artists through personal connections alone. But without a digital home base, every new lead required the same manual pitch. Again & again.
The Challenge
Purpose by AK didn't have a website. The agency was operating entirely through social media and pitch decks which were effective for warm leads, but impossible to scale... Especially with a growing team.
For an agency representing GORDO, James Hype, and Shaq's DJ DIESEL, this created three critical gaps:
Heavy reliance on social media with no clear conversion path online
Difficulty explaining services quickly to first-time visitors
A brand voice that didn’t fully reflect their credibility in the music industry
With a growing team, other members needed a place of reference to share the brand to continue growing it
Instagram stories disappear. PDF decks get lost in inboxes. The agency needed a permanent digital presence that could work as hard as their social channels and word of mouth — a landing page that converts traffic from socials into booked calls, without the founder having to personally pitch every prospect.
The Solution
We built Purpose by AK's first-ever website: a single-page Squarespace site designed to function as the agency's digital storefront and social media landing page.
The structure reflects their workflow: Visitors from Instagram, LinkedIn, or festival tags land directly on a page that answers the only question that matters: "Can you deliver at this level?"
Live Tomorrowland footage featuring James Hype opens the hero with instant proof. Client logos arranged like a festival lineup follow. The press grid features Forbes, Billboard, DJ Mag, for authority. Artist testimonials close the deal.
The site was able to deliver on:
One-page structure for faster decision-making
Mobile-first layout optimized for social traffic
Clear service positioning without overwhelming copy
Why a One-Page Website Made Sense
For fast-moving creative agencies, a clear message beats complexity. A single-page site removes friction, keeps attention focused, and works especially well when traffic comes from Instagram, referrals, or direct links. For Purpose by AK, this approach helped reinforce credibility without slowing users down.
It also offered a lot in engagement through its simple structure
To boost engagement we added an interactive press placements section, along with a Spotify playlist curated by the team, a subtle nod to their deep connection with the music. Rounding out the page are testimonials from leading artists, giving visitors instant social proof and a reason to reach out.
The idea for the playlist feature came organically — during the design process, I asked the team to share tracks to help me get into the right creative headspace. That moment sparked the concept of embedding a Spotify playlist in the footer, tying the brand’s energy directly to the music that fuels it.

The Results
Going from no website to a “purpose” built landing page shifted how Purpose by AK operates:
Centralized credibility hub - Social traffic now converts to a page that works 24/7, accepting form fills that send to all members of his team rather directly to DM.
Qualified lead filtering - Cold prospects self-qualify by exploring press placements and testimonials before reaching out
Professional positioning - The agency went from "industry professional with good connections" to established player with a portfolio clients can share internally
Scalable social funnel - Instagram stories, festival tags, and LinkedIn posts now drive to a permanent home that closes deals without manual follow-up
