Website Redesign for Global Trucking Company

Led UX/UI and design for global site redesign as part of a previous agency team.

The Challenge

A global trucking brand was looking to simplify and unify their 19-market website by migrating from Sitecore to Drupal. The existing platform was difficult for internal teams to manage and suffered from inconsistent styling, disjointed UX across regions, and dense, text-heavy layouts that made it hard for users to find what they needed.

With multiple stakeholders involved across markets, the challenge wasn’t just redesign — it was building a scalable design system and a more intuitive CMS structure that teams around the world could actually enjoy using.

The Solution

I led the redesign effort on a large team — with a focus on clean, professional UI and a user-first experience that could scale across markets. Working closely with developers, stakeholders, and content managers, we introduced reusable page-building components, modernized the layout system, and improved cross-page connectivity for better flow and engagement.

Beyond design, I contributed to content migration, wrote detailed site manuals, supported CMS training sessions, and took on project management responsibilities to align global teams. The result was a more intuitive, streamlined web experience — both for end users and the internal teams managing it — built to serve a global audience with consistency and clarity.

Recognizing that the trucks and the people behind them are central to the brand, we ensured both were prominently featured to support a more human, story-driven experience. These visuals were integrated into a refreshed, modern design that elevated the overall look and feel of the site.”

Dealer Locator Interactive Feature Enhancement

One key feature enhancement was the redesign of the “Find a Dealer” functionality. After benchmarking leading automotive websites, I developed a more interactive and intuitive experience — combining both a Dealer List and a Dealer Search tool. The new search flow was shaped by input from global stakeholders, with special attention given to the Japanese market, where the company is headquartered. To support local users, we integrated a custom Japanese map, and for on-the-go drivers, we added a “Search by Current Location” option using GPS to provide faster, more accurate results.

Truck Selector Interactive Feature Enhancement

Another key feature enhancement was the redesign of the “Truck Selector” tool. To help users more easily compare models, I introduced a cleaner, more stylized layout with improved hierarchy and visual clarity. Truck images were made more prominent, allowing each model to stand out and reducing visual fatigue when scanning across options. These updates made it easier for customers — especially fleet managers and operators — to quickly identify the right vehicle for their needs.

This was one of the most complex and rewarding projects I’ve worked on — spanning global stakeholders, a full platform migration, and a complete UX/UI overhaul. It pushed my skills across design, strategy, and collaboration, and ultimately reinforced the value of thoughtful, scalable design at an enterprise level.
