Content Design for Kevin Hart’s Action Comedy

DIY blockbuster energy for a comedian’s training academy spoof on social.

The Challenge

An agency approached us to create eye-catching social content for an original movie debuting on a major streaming platform. The show followed a comedian wanting to shift his image as action hero, enrolling in a ridiculous training academy — and the visuals needed to capture that over-the-top premise in a single scroll.

The Solution

I collaborated with the Art Director to develop six distinct pieces of content built around a playful DIY concept: the actor cutting out his face and pasting it onto iconic action movie covers. I curated and retouched a series of on-set photos, adapting each one to seamlessly fit the visual tone of the campaign.

We ditched polish for a DIY, cut-and-paste aesthetic — as if the character himself hijacked the genre by plastering his face onto iconic action covers.
