Social Media Rollout for Purpose by AK Presents: MASHBIT

CarmelloVision partnered with Purpose by AK to design the full promotional rollout for MASHBIT, a bass-driven electronic music experience featuring Dirty Audio — the LA producer behind chart-topping tracks like "Gettin' That" (Mad Decent) and official remixes for The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, and Steve Aoki — alongside rising star NXSTY.

The Overview

The December event at Vancouver's Harbour Event & Convention Centre, the city's premier 2,400+ capacity electronic music venue, required a visual campaign that could match the intensity of a live bass music experience while driving ticket conversions across social, web, and venue platforms.

The Challenge

MASHBIT faced the unique challenges of promoting a lineup-driven EDM event in Vancouver's competitive electronic music market:

  • Fast-moving timeline: Assets needed to launch quickly and adapt as the lineup expanded (NXSTY was added mid-campaign)

  • Platform versatility: Content had to perform across Instagram Reels, TikTok vertical video, Harbour's web calendar, and print materials for venue distribution

  • Genre credibility: The design needed to resonate with bass music fans who expect festival-grade production value, even for club shows

  • Competing attention: December in Vancouver means competing with major touring acts at Harbour (the venue regularly hosts artists like Steve Aoki, Alison Wonderland, and Tiesto)

The core question: How do you create a campaign system flexible enough to evolve with lineup changes while maintaining instant visual recognition across all touchpoints?

The Solution

A Modular Design System Built for Live Music Energy

Rather than creating static event flyers, CarmelloVision developed a motion-first campaign architecture that treated every asset as part of a living visual experience.

The Visual Language:

  • Glitch aesthetics & galactic textures: Visual distortion effects that mirrored bass drops and sound manipulation

  • High-contrast, neon-forward color palette: Electric blues, magentas, and whites that popped on dark feeds and club lighting

  • Performance-driven compositions: Real crowd footage and BTS clips from MASHBIT's previous events established authenticity over stock imagery

  • Kinetic typography: Animated text that pulsed with rhythm, reinforcing the show's sonic intensity

Deliverables

  1. Event key visuals (hero artwork for all platforms. Event site and socials.)

  2. Animated promotional video (30-second trailer featuring Mashbit / NXSTY set clips)

  3. Instagram Reels & TikTok content (vertical format with motion)

  4. Lineup expansion graphics (NXSTY announcement assets)

  5. Web graphics for Harbour Event Centre's event calendar

  6. Ticket platform assets (Eventbrite/Tixr headers and thumbnails)

The Outcome

The campaign delivered a cohesive, high-impact visual identity with rapid additions of artist information and updates throughout the promotional cycle.

The modular design system proved its value when NXSTY was added to the lineup—n ew assets were deployed within 48 hours using the established visual language, maintaining campaign consistency without starting from scratch.

The rollout demonstrated CarmelloVision's core strength: creating adaptable creative systems for live entertainment, where lineups shift, timelines compress, and visual identity must be flexible without breaking.

  • Modular campaign for fast additions: Fast turnaround when lineups change or openers are added

  • Genre-specific visual language: Authentic to bass music culture.

  • Multi-platform optimization: One creative vision, infinite format applications

  • Credibility anchors: Leveraging artist achievements (festival appearances, label releases) in design

Perfect for: EDM promoters, bass music collectives, venue marketing teams, touring DJ agencies, festival organizers, and electronic music brands needing campaigns that convert scrollers into ticket buyers.
